The fifth overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens is on a five-game point streak with one goal and seven assists. In 20 games this season, the 18-year-old phenom has five goals and 16 points.
Additionally, Demidov was the KHL's Rookie of the Month in September, a title he looks to keep as October the schedule wraps up.
As one of the top young players in Russia, he's no stranger to these in-season awards. He was the MHL Forward of the Month last season on three occasions in December, January, and February before taking home the MHL Most Valuable Player award.
SKA St. Petersburg (29 points) has won its last six contests and is second in the KHL Western Conference behind Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (36 points).
