Jake Allen recently became the first goalie in NHL history to defeat all 33 franchises.
Former Montreal Canadiens netminder Jake Allen made NHL history on Monday night by defeating the Utah Hockey Club, becoming the first goalie to beat 33 teams.
Initially drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the second round of the 2008 Draft, Allen eventually made his NHL debut on Apr. 30, 2011, playing 1:07 in a relief appearance. The following season, he picked up his first victory against the Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 13, 2013.
During his seven years with the Blues, Allen won the Stanley Cup in 2019 before moving to Montreal (via a trade) to play four seasons with the Canadiens. As Carey Price's partner, Allen appeared in the Stanley Cup Final in 2021.
However, on Mar. 8, 2024, the Canadiens traded him to the New Jersey Devils for a conditional third-round draft pick.
In 12 NHL seasons, Allen has compiled a 197-168-42 record in 431 games, including a 41-68-15 record with Montreal. He's produced a career GAA of 2.75 and a .908 SV% with 25 shutouts.
