Laval Rocket forward is heading to Germany for the upcoming season.

ESV Kaufbeuren recently announced signing forward Nolan Yaremko to a one-year contract.

"We gathered a lot of information about Nolan Yaremko and ultimately came to the conclusion that he is exactly the new center we were looking for. In addition to his qualities on the ice, he has also shown leadership qualities during his time in the WHL and at university. We are very happy that we were able to convince him to move to Kaufbeuren," managing director Michael Kreitl said via statement.

"Nolan Yaremko is exactly the type of player we were looking for. He is a two-way forward in his prime who works both sides of the ice very well and can also score. His stats at the faceoff circle are also very good, which was also important to us," added coach Daniel Jun.

"I'm really looking forward to my time in Kaufbeuren and can hardly wait for things to get started in August. After personal discussions with those in charge, I was of the opinion that ESVK is the best place for me. I'm really excited about the team and the fans in Kaufbeuren," stated Yaremko.

The Alberta native joined the Rocket at the tail end of the 2022-23 season on a professional tryout contract after completing a three-year tenure with Mount Royal University in Calgary. In 12 appearances with Laval, he obtained five points.

He returned to the club in 2023-24 on a two-way American Hockey League (AHL) contract. The 26-year-old spent the majority of the year with the Trois-Rivieres Lions, where he had an important role in all facets of the game and collected 36 points in 38 games and six points in the six-game playoff series versus the Norfolk Admirals.

Yaremko had four stints in Laval, where he totaled six points in 13 games in limited minutes on the fourth line.
