The Montreal Canadiens announced their 2024-25 lineup. Here's a look at the team's demographics.

Now that the Montreal Canadiens have finalized their roster for the season opener, the breakdown of nationalities is easier to discuss. Today, we will look at the team's demographics and see who makes up what percentage of the pie chart.

Interestingly, the percentage of Canadians (61.5%) is the lowest since the 2020-21 season, when the number dipped to 59.4% despite having 19 players from the country in the lineup.

As a team with a deep history of outstanding Canadian-born skaters, some of the best to ever play in the NHL, the franchise maintains a status quo regarding Canadian talent in the lineup.

After years of seeing a combination of nationalities eat up half of the pie chart, with Canadian-born skaters dropping to a salary cap era low of 42.9% in 2011-12, the organization has stayed above 50% since the 2013-14 season.
