The Montreal Canadiens ECHL affiliate lost another player to injury during weekend doubleheader in Trois-Rivieres.

The Trois-Rivieres Lions began a six-game homestand by hosting the Adirondack Thunder (New Jersey Devils) and Worcester Railers (New York Islanders)  at Colisee Videotron.

    Wednesday: Adirondack Thunder 4 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 5 (OT)

The Thunder led 1-0 through 20 minutes when Nicolas Lariviere (two goals), Justin Ducharme and Nolan Yaremko scored consecutively to tilt the game in the Lions favour. Adirondack fought back with three goals in the final 34 minutes to force overtime. Alex-Olivier Voyer ended the game 1:45 into extra time.

"With a fragile club like ours, winning in overtime can only give confidence. We knew the Thunder would come out strong in the third period. We had to be ready. We were on our heels a little against an excellent, well-coached team. We did our best, but we remain fragile with the season we've had. I am proud of the team for finding a way to win," said coach and general manager Ron Choules.

    Friday: Worcester Railers 4 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 3

Trois-Rivieres led 2-1 in the second period with goals by Brycen Martin and John Parker-Jones when Adirondack answered back with three goals in 1:55. The Railers fourth goal ended Zachary Emond's night after allowing four goals on 15 shots. Nicolas Guay made it a one-goal game in the third, but the Lions did not manage to tie before the final buzzer.

"It started before those two minutes. Our first period wasn't too good, to be polite. This is the story of our season. We take one step forward, then we take two steps back. We worked to try to tie, but Worcester is also fighting for survival. I'm a little disappointed with the result. However, we had a good game plan. If we think it will be easy to make the playoffs, we have to look in the mirror," noted Choules.
