

The Trois-Rivieres Lions hit the road for a pair of games against the Norfolk Admirals (Winnipeg Jets) over the weekend at the Norfolk Scope.
The Admirals did not waste any time and got on the board with their first two shots of the evening. The Lions answered back later in the period with goals by John Parker-Jones and Anthony Beauregard.
Norfolk grabbed the lead in the final minute of the first period and added two goals to their lead in the first half of the second period. Ron Choules pulled Zachary Emond after allowing five goals on 19 shots. Cedric Montminy reduced the deficit to two goals with a power play goal before the second intermission.
The home team sealed the victory with an empty-netter late in the third period.
Despite outshooting the Admirals 16-5, the Lions trailed 1-0 through 20 minutes. The Jets ECHL affiliate doubled their lead with a power play goal early in the first minute of the second period and later in the frame, Beauregard cut the lead in half with his 13th of the season.
Norfolk took a two-goal lead with under four minutes remaining when Nicolas Guay went top corner to keep the contest close. Montminy tied the game with six remaining in regulation and force overtime. During the fourth minute of three-on-three action, the game was won by Norfolk with their second shot of the period.
With the Laval Rocket having six defensemen available on their roster, Chris Jandric was recalled on Wednesday and travelled to Toronto with the team.
Miguel Tourigny left during the first period of Saturday's game due to an injury. The organization has not provided any specifics on the injury.
A light week coming up for Trois-Rivieres with one game on the schedule as they will head to Adirondack to face the Thunder (New Jersey Devils) on Saturday at Cool Insuring Arena.
