The Trois-Rivieres Lions signed a defenseman, while sending a forward to an AHL camp. The team's promotional calendar was released for the 2023-24 season.
Roster News
The Trois-Rivieres Lions announced on Thursday the signing of defenseman Brycen Martin to a one-year ECHL contract. Last season, he played 53 games for the Utah Grizzlies, the Colorado Avalanche ECHL affiliate, and obtained 13 points. The 27-year old was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round of the 2014 draft and has spent the last six seasons primarily playing in the ECHL.
The Montreal Canadiens ECHL affiliate currently has 10 forwards and five defensemen signed to ECHL contracts. Players are scheduled to report for physicals on October 5th.
Trois-Rivieres forward Anthony Beauregard received an invitation to the Springfield Thunderbirds, St. Louis Blues AHL affiliate, training camp set to begin on October 1st. Last season, Beauregard led the Lions with 26 goals and finished second in the team with 49 points in 54 games. The 27-year-old had a nine-game stint with the Laval Rocket and scored once.

The club unveiled their promotional calendar for the 2023-24 season. It begins with the season opener on October 20th, when the foundations of the brand image will be featured.
Some of the notable events include the teddy bear toss game on November 4th with all stuffed animals donated to Artisans de la Paix, the "Mustache for my CH" match will return to raise awareness on male cancers on November 17.
The popular Marvel game is on January 13th where fans will be invited to dress as their favorite superhero. One week later, team mascot Flammeche's birthday will be celebrated, and his friends will be at Colisee Videotron for the occasion.
On March 9th, children will take over the arena in the Next Generation contest by becoming journalists, animators and coaches for the afternoon. The Lions will close out the regular season on April 14th with a fan appreciation game.
