What a difference a week makes! The Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate went from struggling to keep a playoff position within a reasonable reach, to planting themselves firmly in the playoff conversation in a matter of days.

How did they do it? Well, in a crucial week of games, playing three times in three days and all on the road, the Rocket took six valuable points out of the weekend. And with each of those games played against opponents in the North Division fighting for those same playoff spots, the victories were some of the most important of the season.
Add to that the arrival of 2023 fifth-overall draft pick David Reinbacher, and fans were treated to a spectacular week of excitement and optimism for the organization's future.
To really put the entire week's performance in perspective, and for some added analysis on Reinbacher's initial strides in the AHL, I sat down for a lengthy conversation with AHL specialist Patrick Williams.
On the latest episode of Rocket Hockey Report, Patrick and I discuss how Laval pulled off the impossible last week and examine the challenge that still lay in front of the Rocket with three more divisional games on the schedule this week. Could we soon be talking about Laval's chances of not just hanging on to a playoff spot, but actually challenging teams even further up in the standings?
Plus, we talk about Reinbacher's first few AHL games and how what we've seen so far seems promising. To watch the full conversation, simply click to watch the video below, or follow this link to watch on YouTube: Was This A Turning Point For Saving the Laval Rocket's Season?
