Can you believe that it's almost time for the never-ending back-to-school commercials and sales to start popping up everywhere? That also means that NHL rookie camps, training camps, and preseasons are just around the corner, too.
The Montreal Canadiens recently announced that they'll be returning to Buffalo again this year to participate in the 2023 Prospects Showcase. The Habs' youth will face off against prospects from the Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, and Ottawa Senators in a mini-tournament during rookie camp.
After the conclusion of rookie, some of those Montreal prospects will head to Laval's training camp, prior to the Rocket's two preseason games against the Toronto Marlies and the Belleville Senators.
But before all of that kicks off in just over a month, the AHL Board of Governors met this week for their annual summer meeting to acknowledge some outstanding performances last season (including some Laval honors!) and take care of business related to the 2023-24 season.
To explore these topics further, we invite you to listen to the latest edition of The Press Zone podcast, hosted by Amy Johnson. This weekly show provides Habs fans with the latest news, analysis, and commentary regarding the Laval Rocket, Canadiens prospects, and American Hockey League news.
