Charlie Lindgren, former goaltender with the Montreal Canadiens, joined the latest episode of the Canadiens Connection podcast to discuss life as an NHL goalie in Washington and his hockey journey.
On this week's episode of Canadiens Connection podcast, we continued our focus on goaltending with part three of our series. We began in episode 253 with a look at the state of the Habs goaltending department with analyst Marty Biron. Last week, on episode 254, we discussed each prospect in the Canadiens goaltending system with head goaltending scout for FC Hockey, Shaun Richardson.
This week, Charlie Lindgren, former Canadiens goaltender, joined us for an exclusive look at life as an NHL goalie with the Washington Capitals. Lindgren appearing on the Canadiens Connection podcast has become an annual event.
Amy Johnson and Rick Stephens chatted with Charlie about his strong season in the NHL, including earning the recognition as the top goaltender for the month of December, and making one of the saves of the year in the NHL against the Boston Bruins in April.
Lindgren is looking forward to the new NHL season and the opportunity to reunite with former Canadiens Joel Edmundson, Max Pacioretty and Kirk Muller in Washington.
Finally, the trio played a round of five questions where Lindgren revealed his closest friend on the Canadiens and named the one NHL rule that he would change. And much more!
