The Rocket managed to win a majority of their games last week, during a brutal portion of their schedule, but this week could present new challenges to the team.

Excerpt from 'Rocket Hockey Report' of host Amy Johnson commenting on forward Riley Kidney's first professional goal.

It's reasonable to think that the Laval Rocket are thrilled to put last week in their review mirror, but not for the reasons you might think. While they did come up short twice in games on Friday and Saturday, the team actually had a winning record on the week. How can that be? Well that's the reason why it's likely they're happy to have moved on to this week, because playing five games over seven days seemed absolutely draining.

So yes, the Rocket won three of five games last week, which seemed to help bolster some confidence in the prospects. And putting up six unanswered goals at Place Bell on Wednesday night gave the Laval faithful something to really cheer for.

But the fatigue was noticeable as the week wore on, and the Rocket couldn't keep their three-game win streak alive once the weekend rolled around. They've since had some rest, and will head back out on the road this week for three games against North Division rivals. Can they rediscover what brought them some wins last week?

It'll be much more challenging for them now that defenseman Jayden Struble has been recalled to Montreal, and another callup is expected to take place imminently, as Jordan Harris and Rafael Harvey-Pinard have both come up with major injuries. Couple that with injuries to some of the Rocket's roster, and head coach Jean-Francois Houle will be faced with a familiar problem of juggling a roster that's getting a bit threadbare.
