What could the Montreal Canadiens opening night roster look like in October? Will they have the talent to compete for a playoff spot next season?

Excerpt from 'Rocket Hockey Report' of host Amy Johnson commenting on the paper transactions processed last week for Jayden Struble and Joshua Roy.

With 16 games left in the Montreal Canadiens season, there are a few items left to do on the regular season checklist. Some players are in a position to reach individual milestones and set personal best statistics. Selected players will help the Laval Rocket with a playoff push. And others will be looking to lockdown jobs for next season with the Canadiens or another team.

We take a way-too-early look at the Canadiens opening night roster for 2024-25 and evaluate whether they are of playoff caliber.

Looking forward is the focus of this week's episode of Canadiens Connection podcast.

In addition, we provide roster updates. And we outline the week that was for Habs prospects. We conclude the show with comments, texts, and emails from you, our loyal Canadiens Connection listeners.
