As the Montreal Canadiens enter the seventh week of the 2023-24 season, it's a good opportunity to evaluate the performance of Habs players, so far.
The Montreal Canadiens are entering their seventh week of the 2023-24 season. Traditionally, American Thanksgiving is considered a landmark for projecting playoff status for NHL teams. It's also a good milestone to make a first set of evaluations of Habs players so far.
We select a sampling of players and play a few rounds of 'stud' or 'dud' in reviewing performances in the Canadiens first 17 games. Fence-sitting is not allowed in this exercise, so unforgiving decisions will be required by our hosts as they review players who fall in-between the two labels.
