Something's got to give at some point for the Laval Rocket, and they're likely hoping that happens this week when they finally return home for some support from their fans on home ice.
Canadiens prospects Jared Davidson (left) and Riley Kidney (right)Games on tap for the Rocket this week could be very entertaining to watch. Montreal's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate will be welcomed back to Place Bell on Wednesday night to host one of their most bitter division rivals, the Belleville Senators.
Games between these teams typically come with plenty of the rough stuff, and with Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj back from injury and loaned to Laval this week, it's possible fans could witness the blueliner's first career AHL game.
Later in the week, the Hartford Wolf Pack visit Laval for two games. The New York Rangers' affiliate is currently one of the best teams in the league, and boasts one Alex Belzile on their roster this year, playing against his former team for the first time.
With all of that said, each of these three games is important for the Rocket. They'll need to work hard to maximize as many points as they can, in the hopes that their seven-game losing streak can be snapped as quickly as possible.
