Michael Augello provides an insider's view of the NHL Draft Scouting Combine and discusses possible scenarios for the Habs with the 5th and 26th pick overall.
The 2024 NHL Draft waters are proving to be quite murky for every team not named the San Jose Sharks and that applies especially to the Montreal Canadiens. While most expect Habs management to be in pursuit of a top-flight forward prospect - Kent Hughes said so at the end of Montreal's season, if all else was equal - the selection will very much be dependent on the three players chosen after Macklin Cellebrini is taken with the first pick overall.
To gather clues about how the Canadiens may approach the first round of the draft, Amy and Rick are joined by Michael Augello, a Buffalo-based reporter for The Hockey News. Michael will provide an insider's view of the NHL Scouting Combine and discuss possible scenarios for the Canadiens with the fifth and twenty-sixth pick overall on this brand new episode of the Canadiens Connection podcast.
In addition, we discuss injuries like Cayden Lindstrom experienced with Dr. Stephen Morris, Rocket Sports medical consultant. We conclude the show with comments, texts, and emails from you, our loyal Canadiens Connection listeners.
