Montreal Canadiens fans have begun to wonder if it's time to declare Juraj Slafkovsky as the best player from the 2022 NHL Draft?
Juraj Slafkovsky has recorded five points in the past five games, on three goals and two assists. The 19-year-old is shooting more, is playing with more confidence and seems quite comfortable on the Canadiens top line with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. It's a complete turnaround from the start of the season.
Following the first two-goal game of his NHL career against the Capitals, many fans announced that Slafkovsky had finally proved himself worthy of the first overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
By his own admission, Slafkovsky still has many areas of his game to work on. But his advancement down the development path this season has been encouraging to watch.
