On Thursday night when the Montreal Canadiens met the Arizona Coyotes, there was a game within the game. For the first time the first overall pick from the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Juraj Slafkovsky, was facing the third overall pick, Logan Cooley.
Cooley picked up an assist for his eighth point of his rookie season in just 10 games. Slafkovsky has just one assist this season and has recorded 11 points in 49 games in the NHL in parts of two seasons.
Why hasn't Marty St. Louis' magic wand worked on Slafkovsky?
It's rather obvious that Slafkovsky is struggling, so much so, it's become a conversation around the NHL. What can get Slafkovsky, a crucial piece of the rebuild, on the right track? This is the focus of this week's episode of Canadiens Connection podcast.
In addition, we provide an injury update with players returning to the lineup. And we outline the week that was for Habs prospects. We conclude the show with comments, texts, and emails from you, our loyal Canadiens Connection listeners.
