The hockey community finds itself face-to-face with the final few days before the 2024 NHL trade deadline arrives. In articles, podcasts, sports radio, and television broadcasts, trade speculation is in full fervor. Who has the latest inside scoop? Which players will be moved? What general manager will pull off the steal of the year?

It's a fun time of year for hockey enthusiasts, a somewhat stressful time for players, and an overwhelmingly busy time for front office management, media members, and scouting staffs around the league.

I'm grateful that, despite the business of this week, Sportsnet analyst Jason Bukala took some time to sit down with me to discuss the Montreal Canadiens' trade deadline possibilities.

The founder of Pro Hockey Group, and former NHL Director of Amateur Scoutinf for the Florida Panthers, discussed the potential for players like Jake Allen and David Savard to be moved (or not). He also revealed the one word he uses to describe what he believes Kent Hughes' priority will be this week, and gave some sound advice to Habs fans who might be anxious to see things move quickly into the next phase of the rebuild.

You'll have seen a clip of the conversation in the player at the top of this article, but check out this week's episode of Habs Hockey Report for the full 16-minute interview! We also discuss Josh Anderson, Cayden Primeau, and the "good problem" the Canadiens have when it comes to their prospects.
