Laval Rocket has three divisional games this week before the AHL All-Star Classic takes place, where Logan Mailloux will represent the Rocket.

Excerpt from 'Rocket Hockey Report' of host Amy Johnson commenting on the upcoming Laval Rocket schedule.

After a storybook run of the calendar in the month of January, the Laval Rocket saw their regulation win streak come to an abrupt halt this week when they dropped two of three games against North Division rivals.

Both Syracuse and Rochester were able to best the Rocket while they were on the road this past weekend, tightening an already razor-thin race for positioning in the middle part of the division's standings.

Add to that three more contests against division rivals this week, albeit on home ice this time, and you've got a combination that could either give the Rocket a boost heading into their short All-Star break, or could push them back down in the standings to a place they haven't been in since early December.

Speaking of the All-Star Classic, rookie defenseman Logan Mailloux is the AHL's choice to represent Laval at the event. I sat down with Patrick Williams, AHL writer for NHL.com, to talk about Mailloux's first months in the pro leagues, and overall expectations for fans at this year's All-Star festivities in California.
