Habs prospects accounted for six assists on the night, in addition to Mailloux's goal, but the Rocket couldn't quite complete their comeback.

After starting the season with an absolute glut of forwards on the roster, and head coach Jean-Francois Houle having to make nightly decisions on who would be a healthy scratch, the Rocket suddenly found themselves in a very different situation on Saturday.
Houle lost three forwards prior to the game against Belleville, and all for different reasons. Veteran winger Joel Armia was recalled to Montreal, Jared Davidson was added to the injury report, and Filip Mesar was loaned back to the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL. Davidson reportedly has an upper-body injury, sustained in a Rocket practice, and is considered week-to-week.
That meant the remaining forwards left on the roster all drew back into the lineup for tonight's game: Riley Kidney, Nathan Legare, and Riley McKay. The latter two spent a good portion of the game trying to get into the rough stuff, with Legare actually dropped the gloves with Graham McPhee 20 seconds into the game and McKay having to answer the call after he boarded Matthew Highmore with a hit from behind.
After a slow start that saw the Rocket trailing Belleville 2-1 after the first period, it looked like defenseman Jayden Struble injected some life into things in the open minutes of the middle frame when by beating Mads Sogaard through traffic with a big point shot, however the goal was later credited to forward Lias Andersson.
Logan Mailloux made some noise of his own at the beginning of the third period, when the Rocket were yet again trailing by two goals. Mailloux drove the net and snapped his wrist to put the puck past Sogaard, assisted by fellow prospects Joshua Roy and Sean Farrell.
Roy went on to add another assist on the night, while William Trudeau also earned two assists of his own. The young guns were the bright spot in this game, despite the team coming up just short at the final horn. Lias Andersson brought Laval within one goal of Belleville with about a minute left in the game, but time ran out before the Rocket could get another puck past Sogaard.
Defenseman Brady Keeper was injured during the game and did not return for the third period.
