ROSTER NEWS Alex-Olivier Voyer was recalled by the Laval Rocket on Tuesday prior to their road trip that took them across the border for three games in three days over the weekend. Voyer was a late addition to the lineup on Friday as Lias Andersson sat out due to sickness. On the same day, the Lions signed Lukash Matthews to a contract. The defenseman played 20 games with Carleton University where he obtained eight points. On Wednesday, Eric Hjorth was suspended by the team in order to retain his rights as the 23-year-old signed with Ritten Sport in the ALPSH. In 43 games this season, the defenseman drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2019, scored three goals, nine points and minus-10. Chris Jandric made his Rocket debut on Saturday following a lower body injury to Mattias Norlinder. Jandric, acquired by Laval on January 11th, collected three assists in seven games with Trois-Rivieres prior to his most recent recall.
