

The Trois-Rivieres Lions were in Glen Falls, New York on Saturday to face the Adirondack Thunder (New Jersey Devils) on Saturday at the Cool Insuring Arena.
The game was scoreless through 40 minutes with the Adirondack Thunder outshooting the Trois-Rivieres Lions 35-11. The home team finally got on the board with a goal in the eighth minute of the third period.
With less than four minutes remaining, Adirondack doubled their lead with a power play goal while John Parker-Jones sat in the penalty box. An empty net goal with 1:01 remaining sealed the victory and extended the Lions losing streak to five games. Zachary Emond was named the third star of the with 40 saves.
Alex-Olivier Voyer was recalled by the Laval Rocket on Tuesday prior to their road trip that took them across the border for three games in three days over the weekend. Voyer was a late addition to the lineup on Friday as Lias Andersson sat out due to sickness.
On the same day, the Lions signed Lukash Matthews to a contract. The defenseman played 20 games with Carleton University where he obtained eight points.
On Wednesday, Eric Hjorth was suspended by the team in order to retain his rights as the 23-year-old signed with Ritten Sport in the ALPSH. In 43 games this season, the defenseman drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2019, scored three goals, nine points and minus-10.
Chris Jandric made his Rocket debut on Saturday following a lower body injury to Mattias Norlinder. Jandric, acquired by Laval on January 11th, collected three assists in seven games with Trois-Rivieres prior to his most recent recall.
The Lions return to Colisee Videotron for a weekend series against the Newfoundland Growlers (Toronto Maple Leafs) on Friday and Saturday.
