There is no time for the Nashville Predators to hang their heads over last night's 5-1 loss to the Dallas Stars as they take on the Pacific Division's current leader, the 48-22-7 Vegas Golden Knights.
A Nashville Predators roster depleted by big moves at the trade deadline and a litany of injuries must find a way to win tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas has had a handful of injuries of their own to deal with as Logan Thompson, Adin Hill, William Carrier, and Mark Stone are all out. Defenseman Shea Theodore is listed as day to day as is Chandler Stephenson with an illness. Last night Reilly Smith returned to the line up and scored the shootout winning goal against Minnesota in Vegas's first game of their back to back.
The Nashville Predators will need to quickly regroup and make adjustments after last night's 5-1 loss to Central Division rival the Dallas Stars. Kevin Lankinen will likely get the start in net tonight, but it doesn't appear that much else will change with the Predators roster. Filip Forsberg, Ryan Johansen, Alexandre Carrier, Matt Duchene, Cole Smith, Juuso Pärssinen, and Jeremy Lauzon are all out. Roman Josi could possibly return to the lineup tonight, but no official word has come from the organization today. John Leonard, who was called up for last night's game in Dallas, has been placed on waivers this morning, so one of the injured forwards could be back on the ice tonight.
If the Predators hope to stay within reach of a wildcard spot in the West, they will need to pull out a big win tonight at home. Here are three keys to the game against the Golden Knights.
How to Watch
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm CST at Bridgestone Arena. Tonight's game will be broadcast on ESPN and 102.5 The Game will have the radio call.
