Three more Nashville Predators prospects will be competing at the World Junior Summer Showcase this week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On Sunday, Canada released its roster for the tournament, which includes center Brady Martin (2025 5th overall), defenseman Cameron Reid (2025 21st overall) and goalie Jack Ivankovic (2025 58th overall).
Canada will play an intrasquad game on July 29 before opening the tournament against Finland on July 30. They will be fielding two teams: Red and White.
Martin was the Predators' highest draft pick since 2013, selected fifth overall in this year's draft. He played this past season with the Soo Greyhounds, scoring 72 points in 57 games and logging 68 penalty minutes. With a 6-foot, 178-pound build, Martin fits perfectly into the Predators' offense.
It's unknown what Martin will be doing this upcoming season. He has expressed that he's going to try to crack the Predators' roster.
Reid was also selected in the first round of this year's draft at 21st overall. He played for the Kitchener Rangers this past season, scoring 54 points in 67 games with a plus/minus of 39 and 44 penalty minutes.
He has proven in juniors that he's an offensively involved defenseman, something the Predators are in need of due to their lack of depth at center. Reid could also crack Nashville's roster in the fall or will likely return to Kitchener.
Ivankovic is one of four goalies who will be in Canada's rotation. He was selected in the second round at 58th overall out of Brampton in the OHL.
This past season, he posted a 25-12-5 record with a 3.05 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. He will spend this coming season in Brampton and has committed to Michigan for the 2026-27 season.
Forwards Teddy Stiga (2024 55th overall) and Ryker Lee (2025 26th overall), and defensemen Jacob Rombach (2025 35th overall) will also be competing for USA Team White.
Daniel Nieminen (2025 163rd overall) will be competing for Team Finland.
The World Junior Summer Showcase kicks off Sunday, July 27 and runs to Saturday, Aug. 2. Games can be streamed on USA Hockey TV.
