Wyatt Cullen, Tommy Bleyl, and Jacob Rombach head to Windsor this July, battling for roster spots as USA Hockey begins its evaluation process for the upcoming championships.
A trio of Nashville Predators prospects will be staying busy this summer, getting named to Team USA's World Junior Summer Showcase roster.
Forward Wyatt Cullen (2026, 10th overall), defenseman Tommy Bleyl (2026, 31st overall) and defenseman Jacob Rombach (2025, 35th overall) will all play in the tournament, which will be hosted from July 26 to Aug. 1 at WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario.
The tournament acts as an evaluation for the World Junior Championship, which will be held in Edmonton and Red Deer from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.
Cullen was selected 10th overall out of the United States National Team Developmental Program, where he scored 45 points (16 goals and 29 assists) in 40 games.
He also played in the IIHF U18 World Championship this past season, recording nine points off three goals and six assists in five games.
Cullen is the son of former Nashville Predator Matt Cullen, who is also the Director of Player Development at the University of Minnesota, where Cullen will be playing this fall.
Bleyl was selected 31st overall in the draft by Moncton in the QMJHL. In his first and only season with the Wildcats, Bleyl recorded an impressive 81 points (13 goals and 68 assists) in 63 games.
He earned a slew of awards, including QMJHL Top Defenseman and Rookie of the Year, and CHL Rookie of the Year. Bleyl is committed to Michigan State and will be starting there in the fall.
Rombach was selected 35th overall in the second round of the 2025 NHL Draft out of Lincoln in the USHL. This past season, the 6-foot-6 defenseman recorded four points (one goal and three assists) in 36 games with Minnesota.
All three players are currently in Nashville for Predators development camp, which runs from June 29 to July 3, culminating with a Future Stars Game on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Ford Ice Center Bellevue.
