A change in practice on Wednesday could indicate more ice time for Nashville Predators forward Cole Smith.

Cole Smith's Hot Start May Earn Him More Ice Time with the Predators

After a tough loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night, head coach Andrew Brunette made a few tweaks to the forward lines in practice Wednesday morning. Brunette did not address the changes with media and it remains to be seen how the roster will look on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but Cole Smith practiced with Filip Forsberg and Ryan O'Reilly on the top line.

Smith has two goals and three points in the first seven games and is executing small details well. On Wednesday Smith skated with Forsberg and O'Reilly in place of Juuso Pärssinen.

Also of note, Phil Tomasino joined Michael McCarron and Samuel Fagemo on the fourth line.
