Former Nashville Predators forward Martin Erat, who played 11 years with the franchise, was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to exercise due care, and leaving the scene of a crash Saturday, WKRN News 2 reports.

Erat, 43, was released on a $30k bond; no injuries were reported in the crash.

According to Nolensville police, callers reported a blue Testla driving erratically and, within the next 30 minutes, received another call reporting a crash between the Tesla and a white Cadillac. The same Tesla later allegedly entered Brentwood and damaged a mailbox.

WKRN also reported that Brentwood police confirmed Erat was arrested but did not provide any additional comment on the incident.

Out of the NHL since 2015, Erat played parts of 11 seasons for the Predators between 2001 and 2013 before requesting a trade and being dealt to the Washington Capitals alongside Michael Latta in exchange for Filip Forsberg. The rest, as they say, is history.

Erat finished his Predators tenure with 163 goals, 318 assists, and 481 points in 723 regular season games.

To this day, the Czech winger still ranks among the best Predators in franchise history in multiple categories, sitting fifth in career goals, fourth in career assists, fourth in career points, fifth in power play goals, and fourth in game-winning goals. Erat, of course, has since been overtaken by Forsberg in these statistical categories.

Erat last played professionally for HC Kometa Brno in Czechia in 2019-20 and spent the last five years of his playing career in Russia and Czechia, respectively.
