Former Kitchener Rangers coach Jordan DeKort joins Nashville’s staff to bolster prospect development, working under Mitch Korn to oversee netminders for the Milwaukee Admirals and Atlanta Gladiators.
The Nashville Predators have made their first coaching staff hire of the offseason, announcing the addition of Jordan DeKort as a Professional Development Goaltending Coach on Wednesday.
He will serve primarily as the goaltending coach for the Milwaukee Admirals and the Atlanta Gladiators, working closely with Nashville's Director of Goaltending Mitch Korn and Goaltending Coach Ben Vanderklok.
DeKort, 30, played junior hockey with the Windsor Spitfires from 2011 to 2014, along with brief stints with Kitchener and the Barrie Colts.
As a coach, DeKort has been with the Rangers for his entire career from 2021 to 2026. He's served as a goaltending coach, Director of Goaltending and a video coach in that span.
He's also worked as a goaltending coach with the St. Michael's Buzzers in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, a Junior "A" team from Toronto.
This is the fifth hire that the Nashville Predators have made this offseason and the first on the coaching staff.
