The Nashville Predators have claimed winger Samuel Fagemo off waivers today. Fagemo was drafted by the LA Kings in the second round of the 2019 NHL draft and played a total of 13 NHL games for the Kings over the last two season. The 23-year-old played nine games last season for the Kings and scored two goals and three points. Fagemo played 8:37 in a January 21, 2023 game against the Predators.
Fagemo played 56 games in 2022-23 with the AHL's Ontario Reign where he finished with 23 goals. In his three seasons with the Reign, Fagemo played 151 games and scored 60 goals and 94 points. He is a goal scorer with an impressive one timer from the left circle that helped him finished last season second in goals for the Ontario Reign.
In international competition, Fagemo showcased his talent at the 2020 World Junior Championships representing his native Sweden. He played 16 games in that tournament and scored 15 goals and 23 points and was named to the All Star Team. He shared the ice in six of those World Juniors games with Milwaukee Admirals defenseman Adam Wilsby.
