Brady Martin is officially a Nashville Predator.
On Wednesday, the Predators announced that they had signed the 2025 fifth overall pick to a 3-year, entry-level contract about a month ahead of training camp.
Martin, a center, played this past season with the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League, scoring 33 goals and 39 assists for 72 points and logging 72 penalty minutes in 57 games.
He also played for Canada at the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship, scoring 11 points in seven games and winning a gold medal.
Martin, with a 6-foot, 174-pound build, was scouted for his work ethic and skillset. He billed himself as a player who not only works hard on the ice, but can be physical and put the puck in the back of the net.
The maximum amount for an entry-level contract is $975,000 per year. With that math, Martin's entry-level contract is assumably a 3-year, $2.925 million deal.
While Martin has officially inked a contract with Nashville, that doesn't mean he will be on the roster this fall. Martin is 18 years old, meaning that his contract is side-eligible. The Predators can choose whether to send Martin back to juniors this year.
Martin has said before that he wants to make the Predators roster this season. That opportunity will come around at Predators training camp, which runs from mid-September to the start of the regular season in early October.
