With training camp just around the corner, the Nashville Predators released a list of new jersey numbers for the upcoming season. While many of the new numbers are going to be assigned to newcomers to the organization, a couple of returning players also opted to make a change. In numerical order, let's take a look at the new jersey numbers to get accustomed to prior to the 2026-27 season getting underway.
Defenseman Adam Wilsby will wear the number two, which most recently belonged to Luke Schenn. Wilsby, a 26-year-old heading into his third NHL season, previously wore the number 83 for the Predators.
Aiden Fink, the Predators' 218th overall selection in the 2023 NHL Draft, is set to take over the number 11 sweater. The most recent player to wear the number 11 was Samuel Fagemo.
23-year-old Ryan Ufko is hoping to earn himself a full-time NHL role this fall and has opted to change from his familiar number 85. This season, Ufko will wear the number 12 that is most commonly associated with Mike Fisher, but was most recently worn by Vinnie Hinostroza.
Alexander Kerfoot will be looking to forge a new identity in Nashville, as rather than wearing the number 15 that he has had in each of his last three stops, he'll wear the number 14. The number 14 most recently belonged to Gustav Nyquist.
Center Jack Drury will stick with the same number that he wore in Carolina and Colorado, 18. Liam Foudy was the most recent player to wear the number.
Nils Hoglander will carry over his number from Vancouver, as the 25 year old will wear the number 21 which most recently belonged to Jake Lucchini.
Much like Drury and Hoglander, Mavrik Bourque will be carrying over the same number as he's worn the number 22 for the entirety of his NHL career to this point. Number 22 most recently belonged to defenseman Tyson Barrie.
Speaking of defensemen, Ilya Lyubushkin is bringing his familiar number 46 to Nashville. The number 46 has a surprising amount of history, but hasn't been seen since Jordan Gross wore it in 2023.
Vitali Pinchuk, who the Predators signed from the Russian Kontinental Hockey League, will become just the third player to wear the number 51 in Nashville. It most recently was worn by Austin Watson half of a decade ago.
Ross Colton is set to become the first Predators player to ever wear the number 79, which he previously had during his time with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Last but not least, Adam Edstrom will become the third player in franchise history to wear the number 84, which he previously wore with the New York Rangers.
There will be a lot of new faces, names, and of course numbers, to get used to when the Predators take the ice this fall.
