The Nashville Predators hit the ice today and Andrew Brunette worked the team hard on one aspect of last night's loss to Vancouver that he didn't like from the team

Today the Nashville Predators got back to work today after last night's 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. After the game, head coach Andrew Brunette said he didn't feel like the Predators did a great job moving their feet in the first two periods of the game. Today, the team spent part of practice focused on that.

Andrew Brunette looks on while the team works on a skating drill.

When asked if today's practice focused on improving in some areas that were lacking in last night's game Andrew Brunette replied, "A little bit. We weren't skating last night to our capabilities, so we just skated a little bit more today."

Brunette planned to address some other areas for improvement through video work off the ice as well.

"You address it through the video. You know the puck battles are an easy thing to see that we lost — probably 65% of them," Brunette said.

"When you lose that many your chances of having the puck are very minimal. We didn't have it a lot last night, and that's a frustrating way to play when you're defending all night. That was the case, especially in the first half of the game."

There were adjustments to the lines during a few drills today.

Filip Forsberg - Ryan O'Reilly - Cole Smith

Gustav Nyquist - Colton Sissons - Yakov Trenin

Luke Evangelista - Tommy Novak - Kiefer Sherwood

Phil Tomasino - Michael McCarron - Samuel Fagemo

With extra days between games, today's lines may not indicate a change for the lineup on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but it is something to keep an eye on.
