Oddsmakers predict a long road ahead for Nashville as the franchise enters a pivotal rebuild. Despite promising prospects, the Predators face steep odds behind the powerhouse Hurricanes.
Now that the Carolina Hurricanes have won the 2026 Stanley Cup, sports betting sites have released their very early Stanley Cup odds for the 2026-27 season. And, for the Nashville Predators, it isn't pretty.
According to FanDuel, the Predators rank 28th in the NHL with +10,000 odds to win the 2027 Stanley Cup. Now, anything is possible. But, given the state of their team and the direction they will be heading, it seems like it will be nearly impossible.
The Predators are entering what looks to be a rebuild/retool, with new GM Chris McFarland at the helm. The good thing is, they already have a ton of top-tier prospects that should help accelerate the process.
Although they are ranked 28th, they aren't last. Which is good news. Below them are the St. Louis Blues (+10,000), Calgary Flames (+25,000), Seattle Kraken (+25,000), and the Vancouver Canucks with the worst odds at +40,000.
The aforementioned Hurricanes are currently the favourite with +650 odds to repeat as the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions.
