In a final move at the 2025 NHL trade deadline, the Nashville Predators traded forward Mark Jankowski to the Carolina Hurricanes for Carolina's own fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Jankowski has nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) in 41 games for the Predators this season. A former first-round pick by the Calgary Flames in 2012, he has 116 points (60 goals, 56 assists) in 395 career NHL games. The 30-year-old is in the first season of a two-year, $1.6 million contract ($800,000 AAV) that will expire at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The Predators now own nine selections in the 2026 NHL Draft – two in each of the second, fourth and fifth rounds and one in each of the first, third and seventh rounds. Over the next three NHL Drafts, Nashville currently holds 14 picks in the first three rounds, including three first-round and two second-round selections in the 2025 NHL Draft.
