What a difference a week makes!
First, the Predators selected eight players at the 2024 NHL Draft Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas. Then, they signed Juuse Saros to a massive contract extension. Then, general manager Barry Trotz handed out huge contracts to free-agent forwards Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault and defenseman Brady Skjei. He also brought in backup goaltender Scott Wedgewood and re-signed defenseman Alexandre Carrier.
The Predators were big spenders; now, can they be contenders? Emma, Michael and Braden discuss expectations for the team, what the forward lines and defensive pairings will look like next season and whether Trotz's "all-in" approach was the right strategy.
