Podcast: The Predators are Going Dancing

The Hockey News' Emma Lingan talks Nashville Predators with Braden Gall of 440 Sports and Michael Gallagher of Nashville Hockey Now on The Gold Standard podcast.

After losing three straight, the Predators silenced the doubters with a huge response against the St. Louis Blues on April 4. Five days later, they took the Winnipeg Jets to overtime and clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The 6-3 victory over St. Louis is the Predators' lone regulation win in seven games since snapping their franchise-record 18-game point streak. Still, the team is playing better than the record would indicate.

Several Nashville players are chasing records this season, Filip Forsberg and Jeremy Lauzon chief among them. With the Predators already having punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, should they rest some of their stars in their three remaining regular-season games? Or should they be given one final chance to make history?

The Predators still don't know who their first-round opponent will be, but they will be the underdogs regardless. Between the Dallas Stars and the Vancouver Canucks, which is the lesser of two evils?
