Phil Tomasino: Less Uncertainty, More Opportunity This Season

The Nashville Predators forward hasn't had a linear trajectory in the NHL, but Tomasino may be a young player who capitalizes quickly on the team's new direction.

Phil Tomasino may be one young player who could impact the Predators' roster quickly with the team's youth movement.

Despite bringing in veteran free agents Ryan O'Reilly, Gustav Nyquist, and Luke Schenn, the Nashville Predators will be relying on their young players and prospects to get this team back into playoff contention over the next few seasons. One young player who may be able to take advantage of Nashville's youth movement this season is 22-year-old Phil Tomasino. Tomasino has already played 107 NHL games, but with the Predators focused on developing the next wave of talent, the Ontario native may be a few steps ahead of his young peers.

Today we talked about Tomasino's skill set, what the Predators may be looking at when it comes to his preseason performance, and why his versatility and a strong training camp could provide him with plenty of opportunities.
