The Predators draft forward Yegor Surin from Loko Yaroslavl at 22nd overall.

The Nashville Predators selected Yegor Surin with the 22nd overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. This skilled winger has a lot of compete and had a very good season in Russia playing in the MHL.

Surin has elite offensive skill and finished his season tied for ninth in scoring with 52 points. He is described as a play driver and someone who will produce offense.

The Predators are getting a 6'1 bulldog who skates his way through opponents, but that sometimes gets him in a bit of trouble. With Surin joining Nashville's organization, it gives the team another talented forward to hopefully join their ranks in the NHL down the line.

Some of the forwards are graduating and reaching make or break moments in their career, so when the Predators are even more competitive, Surin could be joining their ranks. He will likely spend another season in the MHL before turning pro and playing in the KHL prior to coming to North America when he's more NHL-ready.

The Predators made a solid pick at 22 and the hope is that he will turn out to be an NHL player who contributes in Nashville.
