New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes was named the NHL's third star of the week.
Hughes, along with Macklin Celebrini (San Jose Sharks) and Logan Cooley (Utah Mammoth), were the three stars of the NHL this past week.
Hughes had six points in his last four games (5 G, 1 A). He led the Devils to their eighth straight win yesterday against the Colorado Avalanche.
In yesterday's matchup, Hughes scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime.
He also recorded his third career hat trick in the team's 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 21st.
Hughes is now tied for first place in the NHL for goals, with eight goals in nine games.
The 2019 NHL Draft first pick has started the season on the right foot and proved how well he can play when healthy.
The Devils will play the Avalanche again tomorrow in Colorado. The puck is set to drop at 9 PM as the Devils look to secure their ninth win in a row.
