- Former Devil Ryan Graves addressed the Pittsburgh Penguins media for the first time since signing as a free agent on July 1st. During his availability, he opened up about the free agent process.
"You go into free agency, and it is stressful. You don't know who's going to be interested, but when there's mutual interest from both sides, it's honestly exciting for me. I wanted to go to a team that was in contention, and I believe the Penguins are a team that will contend for years to come." - Graves.
- The Devils held media availability on July 20 for the newly signed Nosek, who opened up about the Bruins' first-round playoff exit and what he can bring to New Jersey's locker room.
"When you get older, you focus more on the mental preparation and trust your instinct and trust your gut, don't change anything just because it's playoffs. I can bring this in (to the locker room) and help the young guys a little bit with that." - Nosek.

- GM Fitzgerald acquired veteran defenseman Colin Miller on July 1st, and during his media availability, talked about what he knows about his new team.

Being a defenseman myself, you're well aware of those skilled forwards that they have." - Miller.
