New Jersey Devils beat reporter Kristy Flannery discusses what Miles Wood brings to Colorado on a recent episode of the DNVR Avalanche Podcast.

On July 1, the New Jersey Devils saw one of their longest-tenured players leave the organization. Miles Wood, 27, signed a six-year, $15 million contract with an average annual value of $2.5 million with the Colorado Avalanche.

"My goal heading into free agency was to get term, and I was fortunate enough to get that," Wood said during his introductory media availability with the Avalanche. "A lot of one and two-year deals were handed out, so I feel very fortunate in the sense that I got a six-year deal. From the start, Colorado was always a team that I would love to play for."

The Hockey News' New Jersey Devils beat reporter Kristy Flannery was a guest on the DNVR Avalanche Podcast and discussed Wood as a player, his personality off the ice, and more.
