NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils star forward Jack Hughes joined his team on the ice Friday afternoon. He was a full participant and skated alongside Erik Haula and Curtis Lazar.
"It was great to have him back," said head coach Lindy Ruff. "He's been working hard even while we were gone, skating every day. It was good to get him back at practice."
The 22-year-old has been sidelined since Nov. 3, when he crashed into the boards at Enterprise Center in the team's 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues. Initially, he was listed week-to-week with an upper-body injury. Friday marks exactly two weeks since the injury occurred.
After practice, Ruff said Hughes would be a game-time decision versus the New York Rangers on Saturday night.
"We will get him to skate tomorrow and see how he handled today," Ruff said. "We will get him into the grind, get through tomorrow, and see where he is at."
Below are the lines and pairings used at the team's practice:

Tyler Toffoli - Michael McLeod - Jesper Bratt
