The camp was held from July 10-14 in Herisau, Switzerland.

New Jersey Devils forward Timo Meier held the Timo Meier Camp in his hometown of Herisau, Switzerland, last week. According to the Instagram Page, Rüegg Sport Performance GmbH, this is the fourth year the camp was offered to youth hockey players in the area.

Meier was joined by Chicago Blackhawks forward Philipp Kurashev and other trainers and staff. In a group photo that the 6-foot-1 forward posted, 35-40 kids attended the camp this year.

According to Google Translate, the program consisted of eight on-ice training sessions, off-ice training, and games.

Meier signed an eight-year, $70.4 million contract extension with the Devils on June 28, and when he held his media availability, he spoke about being closer to home.

"I'm a guy that's very close to my family and friends," he said. "You know, it's an easy travel to New York from Switzerland. It's a shorter flight."

Once the Devils acquired him, the 26-year-old appeared in 21 regular season and 11 playoff games for New Jersey, scoring 11 goals.
