The Columbus Blue Jackets continue the search for their next head coach and have reportedly spoken to Andrew Brunette.

NEWARK, N.J. -- On May 25, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reported Devils' associate coach Andrew Brunette spoke with the Columbus Blue Jackets about their head coach position.
During an on-air interview on 97.1 The Fan in Columbus, Scheig confirmed the team spoke to Brunette, saying he can be added to the list of possible candidates, including Pascal Vincent and Peter Laviolette.
Brunette was a Jack Adams Award finalist in 2022 as the interim head coach of the Florida Panthers. The 2022-23 campaign was his first behind the bench in New Jersey, as he oversaw the team's power play.
"They've spoken to a lot of people," said Scheig of the Blue Jackets head coach search. "They've spoken to experienced guys. They've spoken to inexperienced guys. In terms of a timeline, I think the Brunette interview was this week. ...Anytime between now and the end of next week is when I expect (the Blue Jackets) to finally make a decision."
Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen fired Brad Larsen on April 15 after failing to make the playoffs for a second consecutive season.
