Islanders Shut Out 4-0 By Blues

ELMONT, NY -- New York Islanders forward Casey Cizikas has avoided a major injury, as he's back in the lineup after a one-game absence.

The 32-year-old center was forced to miss most of the third period in their 5-4 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Penguins after blocking a shot on his first shift of the third:

Cizikas did not play in the 4-0 shutout loss to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, with Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello saying that he'd be re-evaluated when the club returned home on Friday.

During his pregame chat, Islanders head coach Patrick Roy said that Cizikas would take warmups and then they'll make a decision.

Cizikas skated in his usual spot during line rushes, centering Matt Martin and Cal Clutterbuck.

Kyle MacLean, who was recalled and played Thursday, will be a healthy scratch.

But that's not the only lineup change, as defenseman Scott Mayfield is not in the lineup, as he's day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Sebastian Aho will play his first game since Feb. 10 in a 5-2 loss to Calgary Flames.
