Islanders have new lines as Pierre Engvall misses the game due to injury.

Prior to their matchup with the Winnipeg Jets, the New York Islanders shuffled their lines once again in warmups.

Newsday’s Andrew Gross shared the Islanders’ lines from Canada Life Centre:

Most notably, forward Pierre Engvall is a scratch for the third time this season, but this time it's injury-related as he's day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Oliver Wahlstrom will return to the lineup. In terms of lineup, the duo of Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat will once again be broken up, with Cal Clutterbuck playing on Barzal’s right on line three.

For New York, it’s the third time in the past week the team threw their lines into a blender. The first instance occurred in their game on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, where the Islanders earned a 4-3 win.

The Islanders kept their lines the same for their matchup with the Nashville Predators on Saturday, but a last-minute loss forced head coach Lane Lambert to revert the lines similar to previous form. Following a 5-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Monday, Lambert once again shook up the lines to what they are now.

While these are how the Islanders did rushes in warmup, it’s possible these combos could change mid-game. Before their meeting with Toronto, Lambert said, “Things get moved around during the games. Do I expect to see Horvat and Barzal play together at times? Yes, I do.”

The Islanders enter Tuesday’s game 0-2-0 on their Midwest road trip and 3-6-1 in their last 10. New York concludes their road trip in Chicago against the Blackhawks on Friday.
