New York Islanders forward Pierre Engvall is back in Toronto for the first time since the Maple Leafs traded him to Long Island on Feb. 28 for a 2024 third-round selection.
He was greeted with a tribute:
Engvall, drafted in the seventh-round pick (No. 188) at the 2014 NHL Draft, spent the better part of seven seasons with Toronto, four with the major league club.
In 226 career games in the Blue & White, Engvall scored 42 goals with 41 assists, with four assists in 17 playoff games.
