New York Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov will be a game-time decision on Saturday night against the Utah Hockey Club:
The 25-year-old is coming off a dominant game, earning two assists in their 4-0 shutout win against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday.
Romanov has dealt with an injury this season, missing 11 games due to an upper-body injury initially sustained on Oct. 26 against the New Jersey Devils.
The Islanders will also be without starting goaltender Ilya Sorokin, who is out due to illness.
If Romanov can't play, Grant Hutton, who was recalled for the final two games of the road trip to serve as the seventh defenseman, will slot in.
