New York Islanders captain Anders Lee continued to do what he does,  scoring his 19th goal of the season in their 4-0 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.

It was a special night for No. 27, who found the back of the net in his 800th career NHL game, all coming in Blue & Orange.

The 34-year-old veteran received a feed from Brock Nelson before going through the legs of netminder Adin Hill to open the scoring at T-Mobile Arena:

Lee became the 10th player in Islanders history to record 800 games with the franchise and the first to score in the milestone game.

"It's been an incredible ride, day in and day out, being a New York Islander," Lee said during the first-period intermission report. "It's awesome. Can't believe it's 800 already. It's been a huge honor to put this jersey on."

Lee is one of the hottest players in the NHL right now, with six goals over his last six games. Only Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has more goals, with seven in seven games.

He tallied two goals in the Islanders’ most recent matchup against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 5.

The Minnesota native also scored three goals over two games during the Islanders back-to-back against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the end of December.

Lee sits one goal away from matching his season total of 20 last season, which he reached in 81 games. He's played 41 this season.
