Former Islanders Forward Anthony Beauvillier Pots Two Goals Skating With Sidney Crosby On Penguins Top Line
After bouncing around the NHL since leaving Long Island, former New York Islanders forward Anthony Beauvillier signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins this summer.
After a strong training camp, Beauvillier won the job on the top line alongside Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell.
Their first game as a line didn't go as planned, a 6-0 shutout loss to the New York Rangers.
But Beauvillier made the most of his opportunity in the Penguins' second game of the season, scoring twice in their 6-3 win against the Detroit Red Wings.
With Pittsburgh down 1-0, Beauvillier banked the puck off Ben Chiarot and in to tie the game:

Then, Beauvillier found himself in the right place at the right time early in the second period, burying a rebound from the slot to give the Penguins a 2-1 lead:
In 14:52 minutes, Beauvillier was a +3, with two goals on three shots with a hit.
Drafted 28th overall by the Islanders in 2015, Beauvillier spent seven years on Long Island, scoring 102 goals with 107 assists for 209 points in 552 games.
He's known for scoring one of the greatest goals in recent history, beating Andrei Vasilevskiy over the glove to force a Game 7 during their conference final series against the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2021.
Beauvillier was dealt in the deal that sent Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat to the Islanders on Jan. 30, 2023, before Vancouver traded him to the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 28, 2023.
Then, at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, the Blackhawks dealt him to Barry Trotz and the Nashville Predators.
